We produced a market, commercial and funding strategy for PhytoFold, an early-stage company designing protein-based biopesticides computationally. The founders needed to decide how a company that has not yet run experimental trials should create value and attract investment. We covered market sizing, the competitive and licensing landscape, the regulatory and IP position, and the fundraising narrative. We concluded that PhytoFold should prove the science first, secure its IP position, and then build towards a licensing partnership rather than going downstream alone.
